One of LeafSalon's favourite book cover designers, Sarah Maxey, is about to hold an exhibition of her work.
Maxey is right at the top of her profession, so this will be a show worth seeing - especially if you're a fan of New Zealand books in general, and VUP's output in particular.
The venue will be the Ghuznee Room of the Bowen Galleries, at 35 Ghuznee Street in Wellington. Nice Work: a show of books and prints by Sarah Maxey will run from 12 to 31 March and the opening hours are 10 to 5.30 Monday to Friday, and 10 to 3 on Saturdays.
We won't be able to make it down to Wellington, but Sarah has another show coming up in Auckland in August, and we'll be there with bells on. When we know the location, we'll let you know.
Nice.

Went and had a look today and the work is selling fast. The dog made of a poem from the front of CK Stead's Dog poems has sold out already (one copy went to someone I know and I'm very jealous.)
