A Sense of Place

Frances MayesWellington readers have the opportunity to venture across time as well as continents, during the Book Council's next Meet the Author series, called A Sense of Place.

Alain de Botton will be looking at buildings and houses as he reflects on The Architecture of Happiness, while fans of Under the Tuscan Sun can accompany Frances Mayes (pictured) into foreign lands during the introduction of her latest book, A Year in the World.

Audrey Niffenegger will be crossing chronological boundaries as she talks about The Time Traveler's Wife, while award-winning British writer, Hari Kunzru, jumps between Silicon Valley and Bollywood as he follows the characters of his novel, Transmission.

Tickets are $10 for Book Council members, $12 for the Student/Unwaged, and $15 for non-members. To get your tickets, just email events@bookcouncil.org.nz.
