Well, not much literary news about at the moment, but I'll tell you something for nothing as they say: the International Institute of Modern Letters is calling for submissions of original poetry, short fiction and creative non-fiction to be considered for the 2006 edition of their online literary journal, Turbine.

Turbine is a well-regarded outlet for class writers from ‘Kaitaia to Dunedin’ and beyond: Andrew Johnson is a fairly regular contributor from Paris, and various Iowan/Wellington literary hybrids have been known to pin their work to the screen.
