A quick reminder: Stephanie de Montalk is the Writer on Monday tomorrow at City Gallery in Wellington (1pm). If you’re around, this is a great opportunity to see a very talented writer in action.
Stephanie is the author of three collections of poetry (one just out – Cover Stories) and also Unquiet World, the biography of her outrageously eccentric cousin, Count Geoffrey Potocki de Montalk (this is an amusing link; Stephanie’s cuzzy’s life must be quite a good read. Note to self). She is also the 2005 Victoria University/Creative New Zealand Writer in Residence.
Stephanie will be reading from Cover Stories and will be discussing her current project, a poetic narrative comprising two factually based stories, one set in the Crimea in 1750, the other in Southern Russia.
The Chair will be Chris Price, and it is of course, free.
