Congratulations are due to both the students and teachers at the Christchurch School for Young Writers. The collection of poetry and prose entitled Re-Draft 3 which they put together this year has been picked up by the International Youth Library’s annual selection process for inclusion in their White Ravens catalogue.

This is pretty impressive stuff, let's just put it in perspective: Re-Draft 3 was one of only 250 books chosen from between 7,000 to 10,000 titles received from publishers in 48 countries in up to 33 languages!

The International Youth Library is based in Munich, and the White Ravens catalogue is their take on outstanding international books for children and young adults. It featured recently at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair and is used, among other things, as a buy-list for libraries both school and public, and as an order form for book shops in a global kind of way. Choice, ay?
