Gillian Slovo: did you spill my pint?Wellingtonians feeling a little left out by the hoopla surrounding the Auckland Writers & Readers Festival have been thrown a lifeline: Wellington will be hosting a mini festival of its own called Sex, Salt and Psychoanalysis from 16 May to 1 June.

The line-up is top-notch, including crime writer Elizabeth George, South African writer Gillian Slovo (pictured), Salt author Mark Kurlansky, novelists Alice Sebold, Sue Woolfe and Jodi Picoult, and biographer Deirdre Bair.
