Deborah Shepard is the author at The Chocolate Fish Sessions this week (tomorrow, Wednesday 13th, that is). She’s come up with an unusual take on human relationships in her book Between The Lives. It’s about artists who are also in close relationships and how they handle the pressure, among other things.
There are nine couples – eighteen individuals comprising nine painters, six poets, two filmmakers and a photographer. The Hanlys, the McCahons, the Haywards, the Baxters, the Woollastons – the list goes on. Delectable stuff which ‘combines the pleasure of gossip with fresh insight into New Zealand paintings, poems and films’. Should be a fine evening of literary leanings, as usual.
