The green hills of Ireland

Blarney CastleFiona Farrell is one of the lucky recipients of the inaugural Rathcoola Residency in County Cork, Ireland, home of Blarney Castle (pictured right).

Fiona will take up residency on the 1st January next year. I reckon it's a career move in more ways than one; she's off to kiss the Blarney Stone and become even more prolific.

She’s from Banks Peninsula, she’s the author of, well, lots of stuff actually, poems, novels, plays and short stories. The Skinny Louie Book which I read years ago in London, was fantastic. And her latest novel, Book Book has been getting the raves too.

If you want to tune in to National Radio (756 on ya dial) this afternoon from 4.30, they’ll be having a chat to her.
