etuhi.gifMore reason to put pen to paper, or digits to keyboard: word reaches us from Huia Publishers that the E tuhi! Awards for Maori Writers 2005 have opened.

They’re open to aspiring and established Maori writers of novels, short stories and film scripts, and the judges include Keri Hulme, Patricia Grace, filmmaker Rhonda Kite and TV personality Wena Harawira.

Entries close on 15 April 2005 and we're told that updated details will soon be published on the E tuhi! website, and will also be available by emailing etuhi@huia.co.nz.
