From bad to worse

Norma KhouriAccording to the Australian Herald Sun newspaper, a Queensland woman has been looking after the children of Forbidden Love author Norma Khouri books for sale at Real Groovy">Norma Khouri for the last two months.

Khouri (pictured) left her kids in the care of a Caboolture woman called Rachel Richardson, and is now thought to be in Chicago. But Richardson has run out of money: she has asked the US consulate to help her to return Zoi, 12, and Christopher, 11, to their mother. Says the Herald Sun,

In an interview with New Idea magazine, Ms Richardson said she had paid out a total of $15,000 in caring for the children, putting Ms Khouri on a flight to the US and paying for security guards at Ms Khouri's home after the scandal erupted.

‘I love these kids; they're just absolutely adorable," she told New Idea.

‘These children have given up everything - all they own now is a suitcase with clothes in it. They've had to give away their whole life because they can't afford to ship their belongings to the US.
