The programme has just been revealed for the second Wellington International Poetry Festival, which starts on 7 October. And it’s absolutely positively chock-a-block, with 28 poets appearing over five days.
There’s a solid brace of New Zealand poets, including Fleur Adcock (pictured), David Chan, Michael Harlow, Leonard Lambert, John O’Connor, Alistair Paterson, Anne Powell, C K Stead, Apirana Taylor, Keith Thorsen, Richard von Sturmer and Pat White.
Adding the international flavour will be Louise Warren (Canada), Antoineta Villamil (Colombia), Andres Ehin (a Japanese-speaking poet from Estonia), Sunil Ganguly (India), Karin Bellman (Sweden) and Hansjörg Schertenleib (a Gaelic-speaking poet from Switzerland).
