He Tapu Te Kupu, the Maori Writers National Hui, has been bolstered with two events featuring Keri Hulme.

Stonefish: an evening with Keri Hulme and Kim Hill is on Friday 24 September. And on Saturday 25 is the Maori Writers Recital with Hulme, Patricia Grace, Witi Ihimaera, James George, Renée and Ngahuia Te Awekotuku.

Both events will be held at the Ilott Theatre, Wellington Town Hall, from 6 to 8pm on their respective days. Tickets are $12 and bookings are essential.

Coincidentally, Huia Publishers will launch Hulme’s long-awaited collection of short stories, Stonefish, on Friday 24.
