The latest Nielsen Media Research figures out today show that the Listener remains at the top of the current affairs pile with a readership of 328,000, although it has fallen over seven per cent from 356,000 a year ago.
Actual circulation has also slipped a little to 75,000 total weekly sales, down just over one per cent year on year. But sales are up 2.4% for the past six months.
According to Sarah Sandley, New Zealand Magazines’ Publisher,
... well over half of the Listener sales are subscription which shows terrific brand loyalty and stability. In addition, Listener has just been added to the Flybuys program, which will result in still higher subscription uptake in the future.
