Victoria Avenue primary school in Remuera, Auckland is hosting a fundraising event with difference. It’s a tempting 'evening of entertainment for book clubbers and book lovers', with presentations from Random House, Penguin and Harper Collins.

It’s an Oscar-themed bash (and yes, that means you can dust off the Galliano, sweetie). There will be books and sponsored prizes to be won aplenty, and books will be offered for sale at 10% discount. A quarter of the sales will go to the School itself.
