dbeckham.jpgNot often that I’d even vaguely be interested in the sports news but David Beckham has been in the headlines recently regarding some indiscretions, but also because his biography My Side has won a special prize at the British Book Awards.

The book, written by sports author Tom Watt, is claimed to have been the 'fastest-selling biography of all time'. The book, published last September, has sold over one million copies.

On a local and more gentle note, Jonah Lomu, will be visiting a number of Whitcoulls stores in May to promote his autobiogaphy, Jonah, My Story. If you’d like an opportunity to meet him and get a copy of his book personally signed, diarize these dates:

jonah.jpgFri 7 May - Whitcoulls Queen St, 12.30–1.30pm
Sat 8 May - Whitcoulls Botany Downs, Manukau City, 9.30–10.15am
Sat 8 May - Whitcoulls Manukau, Manukau City, 10.45–11.30am
Mon 10 May - Whitcoulls Bennetts on Broadway, Palmerston North, 10.30–11.30am
Tues 11 May - Whitcoulls Lambton Quay, Wellington, 12.30–1.30pm
Tues 11 May - Whitcoulls Queensgate, Wellington, 3–4pm
Thurs 13 May - Whitcoulls Cashels, Christchurch, 2–3pm

Incidentally, his website is definitely worth a look-in.
