kfm-1069.gifA short story competition has been announced in conjunction with KFM radio station and fictionland.

Your short story of 1500 words must be sent to KFM Short Story Competition, 183 Karangahape Road, St Kevins Arcade, Studio 15, Auckland, by the 30th May. The winners’ story will be read by actors and broadcast on KFM, and published online by fictionland.

fictionland is a 'pay-per-read' website. 'Read-in-the-bath' format is available through select bookstores and direct ordering, but their point of difference is the opportunity to experience new New Zealand fiction by reading excerpts or short stories online. '…an alternative to a video on a Sunday afternoon' says Paul Hewlett, author of Moonzoo, published by fictionland and due for review in LeafSalon in the near future.
