Bethunes, one of New Zealand’s oldest rare book Auctioneers, is now part of leading auction house Webb’s.
The company is now called Bethunes at Webb’s, and it has relocated to Webb’s office in Newmarket, Auckland. Webb’s says there will be no interruption to Bethunes’ auction programme with the next book Auction scheduled for April 15th.
Bethunes has been auctioning rare books, maps, miltaria and documents since 1877, and was previously managed by Webb’s sister company, Otaki-based Mowbray’s Collectables, the leading stamp dealer and auctioneer, Bethunes holds four major sales per year, selling over $800,000pa of collectable books to collectors in New Zealand and all over the world.
