Nominations have opened for the 2004 Nielsen BookData New Zealand Booksellers' Choice Award.

The award acknowledges the books that booksellers have most enjoyed reading, selling and promoting. Previous winners have been The Whale Rider by Witi Ihimaera, Curious Questions by Max Cryer, and Wrestling with the Angel: a life of Janet Frame by Michael King.

The author of the winning book collects $2,500. Prizes are also awarded to the first bookstore to nominate and the first store to vote. All participating stores will go into a lucky draw for a year's free subscription to BookFind-Online Premier.
