We’re taking a break for a few days. Even though we’re told that LeafSalon will probably drop off the search engine radar, and half our visitors will never come back.

But to be honest, nothing much will happen in the New Zealand book scene over the next few days.

No one will be making news: they’ll be at the beach or the bach, reading. And so will we, when we’re not squeezing the kids into the Kombi, or trying to find a half-decent coffee in the middle of nowhere (otherwise known as Mimiwhangata, main picture).
