A little fragment of bone

sst.gifLinda Olsson’s Someone to Watch Over Me has won the Sunday Star-Times Short Story Award for 2003. The story was described by judge Shonagh Koea as “like a little fragment of bone”. It’s the first time that 55 year-old, Swedish-born Olsson has entered the award, and the first prize she has won for her writing.

Anita Tong, a Level 11 student at Sacred Heart College in Lower Hutt, won the Secondary School Division prize with Islands.
