He gave it his best shots

jkbaxter.jpgNews photographer John Selkirk shows the best of his work in Through the Lens: Three Decades of New Zealand News Photography.

The book's 175 black and white images are captioned by Ian Stuart of the Press Association, and they include iconic shots of key moments in New Zealand’s recent history. (Shown here is the tangi of poet James Keir Baxter in Jerusalem, Wanganui, 1972). The book is favourably reviewed on Stuff.
