Margaret Atwood last visited our shores in 2001, and she’s back to publicise her eleventh novel, Oryx and Crake (read the Listener review here). Atwood is the author of more than thirty books: her novels include The Handmaid's Tale, Cat's Eye (both shortlisted for the Booker Prize), Alias Grace and most recently, The Blind Assassin, which won the 2000 Booker Prize.
You can catch her ‘In Conversation’ as they say, with John Campbell at the Bruce Mason Centre, Takapuna, at 8pm on Thursday 20 November. Whatever you think of Atwood, it’s a rare opportunity to hear one of the world’s premier novelists talk about her work. Tickets, as usual, from Ticketek.
